The Bachelor 11’s first season is officially underway, but it’s already clear that the show’s cast is getting antsy.
While the final episode of season 10 had the Bachelor family and friends getting into the act in a bid to prove that they were the right ones to have a kids’ reality show, the cast is starting to take notice of the new rules and the way they’re treating them.
“We’re very aware that it’s a very serious business, that we have to be careful and make sure that everyone is well informed and they understand the implications of what’s going on,” said Ben Higgins, one of the writers for the upcoming season.
“The show has grown up.
We’re going to have to get used to it.
And, we want to make sure we’re doing it right.”
So far, the Bachelor’s producers and cast have been keeping the cast under strict orders not to be in any of the episodes that take place in Florida.
The show’s producers, however, are aware that there are a lot of potential pitfalls to not following through.
And they are not the only ones.
A recent report by Deadline says the Bachelor franchise has been hit by a “sudden wave of online harassment” for some time.
The report notes that many of the people who have made comments online have no connection to the Bachelor or the show.
For instance, the producer of a popular reality show called The Bachelorette told Deadline that he’s been contacted by women who claim to be married to the producers of The Bachelor.
“They want to have the same experience as me and I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, I’ll see you in a week or two,'” the producer said.
“I have a very strong, very supportive and supportive family.”
This kind of behavior is a concern for many, especially for a show that was born from a love of the men in its cast.
A report from Variety earlier this year said that many people were frustrated with the fact that the cast of the series was given the option of staying home from work for the entire season, even if they had to travel the world to work, and they did.
“I think it’s about time for a Bachelor franchise to be taken seriously,” Higgins said.
The Bachelor franchise is expected to premiere sometime in 2019, so it will be interesting to see how this year’s season plays out.
